Three families of products are available to accommodate most RF based access control requirements. The first is the standard access control reader that supports read ranges from one inch to two feet. These are typically mounted on a pedestal, wall, or doorframe, and are available in multiple architectural and read range choices. The standard RF reader is visible to the user so presenting the identification card is simple and secure. The card can even be read through a wallet, purse or pocket for quick entry. SENTEX SYSTEMS has standardized on the HID and Motorola Indala formats.
The second family is a medium-long range access control reader called AUTOprox. Customers who prefer to have the gate automatically open as they get in proximity can mount a tag on the windshield or left hanging from the rear view mirror. The vehicle approaches the gate all encoded information in the tag is transmitted to the receiver. The AUTOprox is the ultimate in convenience and reliability because the user does not have to present the card to a reader.. The AUTOprox is a great solution for entrances that require a 10-20 foot range. Since most vehicles have unique windshield orientation and design attributes, each should be tested for proper tag location.
The third family consists of a long-range access control RF reader named CLIKcard. It supports read ranges in excess of 200 feet and utilizes a "clicker" style RF transmitter to send the encoded information to the receiver. The receiver is housed in a metal enclosure and weatherproof, so mounting them at the gate is not a problem. The transmitters are available in a one or two button configuration.
The ClikCard family is used in conjunction with our Telephone Entry System, the "Infinity Series", or integrated to any access control system. ClikCard is available in a 26-bit industry standard output just in case you already have an access control system and want the advantage of the long range RF technology. If the gated area has more than one entrance, a single transmitter (with two buttons) can be used to unlock up to three separate receivers.
